Northern Ireland needs to build new heroes. We have a number of individuals who have founded significant science and tech companies who have received little or no recognition. The Innovation Founder Award is designed to annually promote the awareness, importance and status of “founders” by inviting the public to nominate people whose NI company has made a significant impact and honouring that person in front of their peers at the £25K Awards dinner.
2011 Innovation Founder - Hugh Cormican
2010 Innovation Founder – John Anderson
The closing date for nominating the 2012 Innovation Founder of the Year has been extended to 6 August 2012.
The award is designed to celebrate Northern Ireland's long legacy of innovation on the global stage and will recognise contributions made by the greatest entrepreneurs who acted on their innovative ideas to create science and technology based companies in Northern Ireland.
Those nominated should demonstrate evidence of entrepreneurial spirit, innovative thinking and determination to succeed. If you know someone who deserves to be honoured as 'Innovation Founder of the Year'.
