Invest Northern Ireland is supporting the first International Business Women’s Conference hosted by Women in Business NI, an event it has described as ‘a unique platform for the Northern Ireland business community’.

‘IBWC 2014: Creating a New Economy’ will bring delegates to Belfast this spring (12th – 15th May) with the aim of empowering and inspiring individuals, driving leadership skills, encouraging business growth and creating international connections.

Sharon Polson of Invest NI said: “This first International Business Women’s Conference hosted by the Women in Business Network will be a unique platform for the Northern Ireland business community to share experiences with counterparts from across the globe.

“Built around key themes such as ambition, leadership, entrepreneurship and innovation, IBWC 2014 will seek to motivate and inspire Northern Ireland entrepreneurs to look at how best they can take their business forward. Combined with the opportunity to create valuable international links, IBWC 2014 has the potential to benefit Northern Ireland’s economy.”

Chief Executive, Women in Business NI Roseann Kelly said, “Our first international conference is an important event in the corporate calendar and represents a significant opportunity not only for Women in Business as an organisation, but for the entire Northern Ireland business community.

“Having the support of Invest NI means we are able to deliver a conference which will leave Northern Ireland delegates feeling empowered and enthused about doing business on home ground and in the international marketplace.”

Taking place at venues including The Waterfront Hall, Titanic Belfast and The MAC, IBWC 2014 will feature addresses from local and international speakers, plenary sessions, panel debates, round table discussions, breakout workshops and a supporting social programme.

IBWC 2014 is also supported by Belfast City Council, Northern Ireland Tourist Board,
Visit Belfast, Ulster Bank and NYSE Euronext.
