Momentum Business Improvement Programme incorporating Investors in People Breakfast Briefing

The Challenge: Most business managers are well versed in the day-to-day running of their business.  However, in order to retain a competitive edge, businesses are required to change with increasing frequency.  Business managers face many issues when they implement significant change within their organisation.  There is a need to change their behaviours and the behaviours of their people. 

Purpose of this Programme: This focused and practical Programme will develop the change management skills of business owners and managers and help ensure more successful change implementation.  It will also help organisations wishing to attain the Investors in People Standard as a public recognition of good business and people management practice.


Objectives of the Programme: 

  • To help participants improve change management
  • To help participants improve their personal effectiveness
  • To help participants improve the management of their business To help participants obtain the Investors in People accreditation

Two managers from each organisation can attend each workshop
The Facilitator: Brendan Boyle is an experienced Management Consultant, Chartered Management Accountant, IIP Adviser and Project Manager with 25 years   experience in business.
Numbers: Up to six organisations only on a first come first served basis.
The Cost: The Cost is £950 plus VAT per organisation.  This cost is heavily subsidised by the Department for Employment and Learning. 
The Benefits: Business managers are further developed in the essentials of change and people management.  A capacity for IIP attainment will be developed.  The benefits to the organisation will be more successful change implementation with less disruption to the on-going business. Organisations which have successfully attended the programme in the past include Eircom NI, Fluent Technologies and Front.

As part of the programme, companies/social economy organisations with 10 or more staff can also receive a MAP (Management Analysis & Planning Review - 3 days consultancy) fully subsidised by the Department for Employment and Learning.  Management training identified under MAP will be further subsidised (currently at 40%).  Companies/social economy organisations with less than 10 employees will receive an IIP diagnostic review fully subsidised by the Department for Employment and Learning.
