Translating Business Issues into Policy Solutions

29th November 2013

The format of the event is a discussion with Professor Neil Gibson, Northern Ireland Centre for Economic Policy (NICEP), and a panel of experts from Ulster Business School.

The panel will review the results of the latest NI Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Economic Survey (QES), the largest survey of business opinion conducted in Northern Ireland. With over 400 responses from businesses across Northern Ireland, the QES is closely watched by policymakers such as the Treasury, the Bank of England and the Office of Budget Responsibility.

Discussion will centre on business issues and how, or if, these are being translated into economic policy solutions. Areas which will be explored include export, access to finance, business costs and skills.
